5 isolated resorts in Ninh Binh ideal for weekend escapes

The resort is in Dam Khe Trong Village of Ninh Hai Commune, Hoa Lu District, about 130 kilometers from Hanoi. It consists of four tiled houses surrounded by a swimming pool suitable for couples or small families to escape the sizzling heat of the capital and avoid large crowds.

It is recommended by travel bloggers due to its proximity to popular tourist attractions like Tam Coc – Bich Dong, part of UNESCO heritage site Trang An Landscape Complex, Van Long Lagoon and Bai Dinh Pagoda.

The price per room ranges from VND1-1.3 million a night.

Overlooking world-record-holding Bai Dinh Pagoda, it has 22 hotel rooms and two bungalows built with wooden furniture and eco-friendly materials. The resort has a restaurant, spa, swimming pool and gym.

One night costs VND800,000 per person on weekdays.

The Bai Dinh pagoda complex covers 1,700 hectares and boasts Asia's largest gold-plated bronze Buddha statue and longest Arhat corridor. Bai Dinh is very close to other attractions in Ninh Binh like Trang An, Hoa Lu, Tam Coc, and Bich Dong.

Tam Coc Garden boutique resort, around two hours to the east of Hanoi, finished 11th among 25 in the "picture perfect hotel" category of 2021 Tripadvisor Travelers' Choice Awards.

The resort is in Hai Nham Village of Hoa Lu district, around five kilometers from Bich Dong pagoda and Tam Coc tourist area. One of the highlights of the resort is the surrounding rice fields, ancient villages and fruit orchards.

The resort is offering a special combo package of only VND1.9 million per person for groups of six or more, including a one night stay, breakfast, and photography, bicycle, fishing, herbal bath and outdoor swimming pool services.
