One of the naturals wonders of the world and an UNESCO world heritage site. Ha Long bay is a truly remarkable destination. Over 3000 islands protrude from the sea with red sailed junks dotting the horizon. With a total area of 354 sq km, the mountainous island of Cat Ba is the largest island in Ha Long bay. Cat Ba is a tropical paradise of white sands beach, caves, and limestone peaks, which rise like gnarled, blackened fingers from the lush greenery.
8:00 - 08:30 Pick up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quater. Enjoy the interesting 3.5 hour drive to Ha Long city.
11h30 Arrive in Ha Long city. Lunch at local restaurant. Then take a boat trip about 4hrs journey. Cruise through the emerald waters between the limestone outcrops and long corridors, visit Thien Cung cave (the cave of the heavenly palace - famous for its stalagmites and stalactites) the cave has only opened to the public since 1998. A short way visit the newly discovered Dau Go grotto. Continue to Cat Ba island where your minibus will be waiting for you to take you to hotel. Dinner at local restaurant.
AM: Take a bus to visit Cat Ba National Park. Lunch at local restaurant.
PM: Boat trip to visit Lan Ha Bay, Monkey Island, kayaking and swimming at Nam Cat beaches (Five star beaches). Then take a boat to Cat Ba Island. Dinner at local restaurant.
